I was paid to feature a product in a sponsored video, and I want that relationship to be clear from the start. Payment explains why the video was made; it is not, by itself, a reason to decide whether the product is right for you.
What the sponsorship covers
A paid sponsorship means there was a commercial arrangement connected to the video. The video is where to see which product was featured and what was presented about it. That arrangement should be considered alongside the product details, not mistaken for independent testing.
Look for the product details
Before drawing a conclusion, check what the product is designed to do, what the video actually demonstrates, and which details it leaves unanswered. A short video can introduce a product, but it may not cover specifications, limitations, or whether it suits your particular needs. If a detail matters to your decision, look for it in the product information rather than filling in the gap yourself.
When a link earns commission
A sponsorship payment and an affiliate commission are different kinds of compensation, and both can be relevant to the same recommendation. If a link on this site is an affiliate link, I’ll label it; I may earn a commission if you buy through it. That does not add product testing or change what the video showed.
