A product link may help you find more information, and it may also be an affiliate link. If it is, a purchase through that link can earn the publisher a commission. I’ll label affiliate links so you can take that possibility into account before clicking.
A link and a recommendation
An affiliate link describes a commercial connection, not a product feature or a guarantee that the product is a good fit. Read the product description and terms on the destination page, and compare them with what you need. You can use the information without treating the link itself as evidence.
Sponsorship is separate
The video featured a paid sponsorship, while an affiliate link can create a separate commission if someone makes a qualifying purchase through it. These arrangements can exist together, but they are not the same thing. Clear labels help you understand which relationship applies to the video and which applies to a link.
Take a moment before buying
Check the product name, the details that matter to you, and the seller’s purchase and return terms before placing an order. If a link’s status is unclear, don’t assume it is or isn’t affiliate-linked. You can ask through the site’s contact page.
